How we work

Articles are written to be useful to someone actually doing the thing: specific, checkable, and honest about what varies by situation. Where a piece touches regulated work, it says so rather than implying the reader can skip a professional.

We correct mistakes rather than quietly editing them away. If a correction changes the substance of a piece, the article says what changed.
